​Foundations Day workshops are a feature of NZ Pain Society Annual Scientific Meetings. They offer you an opportunity to update your essential knowledge about pain and pain management, while also connecting with colleagues from around the country.

Hypnotic Language and Phenomena for Health Professionals 

Suitable for: nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, anyone else with an interest.
 
Based on: increasing knowledge and empowering health professionals to use hypnotic language and phenomena in their daily interactions with patients.  Interactive and fun.
 
Covering:
  • Brief history of hypnosis
  • Ascertain individual hypnotisability
  • Utilising language to reduce anxiety and pain
  • Safety aspects and how to prepare patients for hypnotic interactions
  • Build rapport and use positive suggestion effectively
  • Use of anchoring positive states for patients to use whenever they need to
